We are in full swing with learning in 4B! Lot's of fun and engaging experiences to start off our first unit How We Organize Ourselves.
We have been learning about the Texas Regions and what they contribute for resources. Learners created puzzle pieces about each region and shared an informational poster about what they learned!
Mrs. Pickrell shared some of West Texas with us by showing what a Texas Tumbleweed looks like and the impact that it makes to the farms and ranches out west.
We are looking at what tenths and hundredths look like and their value! What better way to do that then with brownies! Learners had a great time sectioning off a brownie into parts and seeing how much decimals can be worth.
Learners worked in groups to activate schema on popular subjects. We talked about the importance of thinking about your schema before reading a book. By learning and reading we are adding more to our mental file cabinet for future reading.
We celebrated our first 4B birthday! Happy Birthday, Lexi!!
